What If Your Walls Told Your Story?

Modern portraiture for deep thinkers, bold collectors, and iconoclasts

The Perfect Doesn't Exist—Until You Make It Happen

Imagine a piece of art that doesn’t just fill a wall, it charges the room.

A piece that’s wired into your story. Your space. Your life.

Art that wasn’t plucked off a gallery wall or printed by the thousands, but built for you, and only you.

It doesn't just hang there. It GIVES. Gives you immense joy every time you walk by.

It'll stop your guests in their tracks.

It'll spark conversations you didn't know you were waiting to have.

It'll hold value, build legacy, and one day it might just outlive you.

Because the right piece doesn't just match your room. It mirrors who you are and who you're busy becoming.

This Is Where It Starts:

A conversation. A sketch. A one-of-one artwork built around you.

We start with a spark.

We end with a masterpiece.

I don’t disappear into a studio cave and emerge months later with “a surprise.”

That’s not how I work.

This is a conversation from the jump. We talk. We sketch. We throw stuff at the wall.

Then we trim the fat and chase the thing that feels just right.

I’ll build a photo-based mockup to get us started, and we refine it from there—tweak by tweak—until it hits that nerve.

This isn’t about me guessing what you want. It’s about us getting there together.

How it works:

1. Reach Out

Don’t overthink it.

It’s just a conversation.

No pressure.

Just you, tossing out an idea and seeing if it sticks.

2. Creative Consultation

We’ll kick the tires together.

Sketch. Refine. Sharpen.

Until it actually feels like something you’d want to live with.

3. I'll Get To Work

I’ll start working my magic in the studio.

You’ll get progress pics and updates as the piece comes to life.

No big reveals, no surprises.

4. Delivery

Your finished piece, safely packed and delivered right to your door.

Shipping's on me.

Want a pro to come hang it for you? We can make that happen too.

Relax. It's just a conversation.
(with the potential to turn into a masterpiece)

Commission Types:

The Dinner Party

What if you could have dinner with five people—anyone, from any point in history?

Dead, alive, fictional, mythical. Now imagine them all at the same table, in the same light, sharing the same bottle of wine.

I’ll paint the scene like it actually happened. Oil, pastel, or graphite. Any size. On canvas or framed paper.

Just tell me who’s on your guest list—and I’ll bring them to life.

Customized Original

Love one of my paintings but wish it was just a little more you? Let’s make it happen.

We’ll rework the piece in a custom size, tweak the palette to match your space, and shape it into something uniquely yours—without losing the soul of the original.

This is a remix, not a replica. And it’s made to fit your life.

Custom Portrait

Someone you love. Someone you admire. Or someone who left a mark.

I’ll create a portrait that isn’t just a likeness—it’s a presence.

Oil. Pastel. Graphite. On paper (framed) or stretched canvas. Any size.

Modern, moody, and human to the core.

Let's do this.

Here's what they're saying:

“These aren't just portraits. They’re psychological landscapes.”

Samantha, Berlin

“Each one of these captures the tension between identity and concealment with a striking emotional depth.”

Fran, Los Angeles

“I’ve never felt more seen in a painting.”

Linda, Los Angeles

"This hangs above my fireplace. It's the one thing people ask about."

Jason, New York City

“A Gregory Malphurs original is more than a painting—it’s a reflection.”

Ginny, London

Questions & Answers

  • SO easy. Click here to set up a call. Pick a good time for you. No complicated forms. No weird pressure. Just a real conversation about what you want and what we can build together.

  • Good. Honestly, that's where the best work starts. If you already had it all figured out, you wouldn’t need me. We’ll sketch it out together—raw ideas first, refined masterpiece later.

  • Depends on the project. Some pieces take weeks, some take a few months. Great things take time—and trust me, you don’t want rushed art hanging on your wall for the next 20 years.

  • Absolutely. You’re not throwing money into a black hole. I send you progress shots, updates, and tweaks along the way so there are zero surprises (only good ones).

  • Hell yes. That’s kind of the point. Whether it's a full Dinner Party epic or a portrait with just the right amount of menace, we’ll fine-tune it until it feels like you.

  • Only the good stuff. Oil, pastel, or graphite on canvas or archival paper. Framed if you want. No cheap shortcuts, no half-assed surfaces.

  • Gregory’s art goes beyond the canvas. His modern take on portraiture reveals the layers of human complexity, inviting you to explore your own story. This isn’t just about owning or viewing art—it’s about connecting to it on a personal, emotional level.

  • Yeah. If you live on Earth, I’ll cover getting it to your doorstep. If you want a professional to hang it, I can set you up—but that’s a separate deal.

  • Again, EASY. We can have it framed for you or ship it to your favorite local framer. We will discuss your preference during the process. Believe me, we'll be talking A LOT.

  • If you need assistance hanging the work because it's large or in a hard to navigate area, we can recommend a local, trusted art handler to assist. We know people.

  • Each commission is priced individually based on size, complexity, and medium. Translation: No bullshit pricing. You’ll know exactly what it costs before we even start—and no, I don't haggle.
